The 30 Day Squat Challenge

I came across the image on the right while I was researching exercises for parkour.

And two things popped into my head when I saw this image:

#1. Wow. She has an amazingly round bottom.

#2. Why is there no male equivalent of this?

The last one is what got me thinking about how this image is basically geared towards women, not men. It is aimed at women who want a sexier bottom. Sure, men enjoy looking at the bottom in question, but ultimately it is geared towards women who feel insecure about looks.

In contrast when was the last time men were made to feel insecure about their looks? For me I think it was a recent family gathering in which several relatives mocked my new beard - which was bizarre because from friends and strangers I have nothing but really nice comments on my beard - my girlfriend has even taken to calling me "Mr Sexy Beard".

So honestly, family comments aside, I don't have a problem with my beard or my looks. But beyond that recent thing I am trying to think of another incident when I felt insecure about my appearance.

Doubtlessly many men feel insecure about their appearance on first dates, during job interviews, when they are camera shy because something about their appearance isn't currently up to snuff.

But I have yet to see an image, similar to the one above, which deliberately hones in on male insecurities about their appearance. If you can think of one please post a comment below.

Nose Jobs at Work

Rhinoplasty is a horrible cutthroat business (pun intended).

Like many kinds of plastic surgery, rhinoplasty is geared towards using people's poor self esteem about their appearance in order to make a lot of money off people's insecurities.

Take for example the attractive young woman's photo below, just one of many rhinoplasty patients whose photo is all over the internet. (Seriously, one half of rhinoplasty seems to be the giving away of before and after photos on the internet, mostly so the greedy rhinoplasty surgeon can make more money.) Anyway, back to my point. The woman in the photo is perfectly attractive, her nose is just a little crooked - so little that most people probably don't notice that much until you point it out.

So here is the important questions:

Did she NEED rhinoplasty?

No.

Was she attractive without rhinoplasty?

Yes.

Is society's obsession with "perfection" a mental disease?

Yes.

Did the surgeon make oodles of money off her insecurities and the insecurities of many other women and men?

Yes.

How many women vs men get rhinoplasty because they feel insecure about their appearance?

According to one source I found, 74% of rhinoplasty patients are women. According to a different source 221,000 Americans had rhinoplasty in 2013, which was down 9% from 2012.

And now to close, a scene from Seinfeld wherein a woman feels insecure about her nose thanks to Kramer's idiotic comment.

Top Ten Tips to End Rape

Top Ten Tips to End Rape

It is my personal opinion that men who have to resort to rape are not real men. They are cowards who deserve to be shunned / treated like psychopaths.

Drugging a woman's drink? Cowardly. Any man who does such a thing should be drugged and left naked in the desert.

Stalking women who are walking alone? Is your personality so repulsive you can't meet women the normal way?

Date rape? Seriously. Wait til the third date like a normal person and if she doesn't want to go back to your place then you should just give up.

It is mindboggling that we even have to discuss this. It should be a no brainer. Would you want your mother raped? Your sister? Your daughter? Then don't rape someone else's mother, sister or daughter.

To do so is to ignore that a woman is still a person - and to any rapists who read this I hope she claws your eyeballs out and you end up being the only blind man in prison (a place where men rape other men on a regular basis).

New Domain Name - MaleBrainatWork.com

The Male Brain at Work now has its own Domain Name: MaleBrainatWork.com

CANCELLED - See update further below.

Previously the site was hosted on http://malebrainatwork.blogspot.com, but with the popularity of the website I have decided it deserves its own domain name. Hence the change.

Just how popular is the Male Brain at Work? Well, we recently surpassed 771,000 hits. I figured it was long past due the website had its own domain name.

Please help promote/advertise the Male Brain at Work by linking to the new domain name, posting the link on Twitter, Facebook and other sites! :)

UPDATE: I eventually dropped the Domain Name. It wasn't worth it. Maybe someday it will be worth it again, but right now there isn't enough advertising revenue to justify the domain name.
